Cowboys Against Cancer

ROCK SPRINGS - The Cowboys Against Cancer held their annual benefit this weekend (11/03/07) at the Sweetwater County Events Complex.  The volunteer organization held the benefit, which included dinner, dancing, raffles, and both live and silent auctions on Saturday (11/03/07).  While last year's benefit raised a good amount of money, about $185,000, this year's was even better.  President and Founder of Cowboys Against Cancer, Margaret Parry, has the numbers...Click here for Parry...Parry said their goal was $250,000 this year, and that if they end up with $245,000 from the benefit, she wouldn't be surprised if a local company gave them the remaining 5 thousand just to ensure their goal is met.  The event takes all year to plan, and they are getting ready to start work on next year's event right away.  If you weren't able to get into the benefit, you weren't the only one...Click here for Parry...Since they sell out often, I (Ben Michaels) asked the President if they'd thought about expanding the event...Click here for Parry...If you missed out on the benefit and would still like to donate to Cowboys Against Cancer, contact Margaret Parry at 382.9606 or contact one of the Chambers if you prefer.  Also, you can find contact at www.CowboysAgainstCancer.com.  On average the group gets 5 requests every month for assistance.
