Inmates Moved From Dagget County

SALT LAKE CITY - The state of Utah has removed the 45 remaining inmates from Daggett County jail where two killers escaped and were on the run until their capture in Rock Springs.  The move comes following a security review of the Manila, UT jail.  Convicted killers Danny Gallegos and Juan Diaz-Arevalo escaped from the jail September 23rd and spent six days on the run before being caught by Sweetwater County authorities.  Before the escape, 77 state inmates were in the county jail, the other twenty were removed on Wednesday.  Officials said the inmates have been moved to state prisons in Draper and Gunnison and could be transferred to other county jails as space becomes available.
