Lockdown a False Alarm

RIVERTON - It looks like a false alarm.  Last week's lockdown and search at the Wyoming Honor Farm turned up tobacco products but no weapons.  On October 22nd, prison officials received an anonymous note from an inmate that said there was a plan to smuggle two small handguns into the minimum-security prison at Riverton.  Associate Warden Tony Thornton says the prison was immediately shut down and officials began interviewing all inmates and searching their rooms as well as other buildings.  Thornton says the four-day search found contraband, including tobacco products, but no weapons.  One inmate also had some liquid he apparently was trying to ferment into alcohol.  There are about 220 inmates at the facility.
