Utah, Wyoming Bank Robberies May Be Connected LOGAN, UT - Police are looking into whether there's a connection between recent bank robberies in Utah and Wyoming. Police in Logan, Utah, are looking for a man wearing safari-style hat who robbed a local bank Monday (11/05/07) afternoon. Witnesses say a man about 6-feet tall with a skinny build entered the bank wearing a safari-style hat and approached a teller. Showing the teller a handgun, the man demanded cash and then left the bank with the money. He left the area on foot. Police believe the man is roughly 40-years-old. Besides the hat, he was last seen wearing a long-sleeve shirt, tan cargo pants and blue shoes. Logan Police Captain Jeff Curtis says his department has talked to police in Rock Springs, where the Rock Springs National Bank was robbed last week. Curtis says his department has reviewed tapes of the Rock Springs robbery and believe the same man is involved in both crimes. A cash reward is being offered to anyone with information that leads to the arrest. |
