Utility Collections CHEYENNE - If you can't pay your electric bill, Rocky Mountain Power wants you to pay even more. Wyoming's largest electrical utility wants the state to allow it to bill delinquent customers for collection fees the company incurs in getting them to pay their bills. In June, they asked state regulators to approve a request to pass along the collection fees directly to delinquent customers. Rocky Mountain Power provides about 57 percent of Wyoming's electricity. Company spokesman Jeff Hymas says that the other customers should not be expected to subsidize the cost of providing power for those who don't pay their bills. |
