Wyoming Tobacco Users

CHEYENNE - The percentage of Wyoming adult males who use spit tobacco is almost two times the U.S. average.  Nationally, eight percent of men use it, while in Wyoming, the number is a staggering 15 percent.  The Wyoming "Through With Chew" program recently launched a completely revised and updated website that addresses public health concerns about spit tobacco.  The website, www.ThroughWithChew.com , has information for public health officials, tobacco prevention professionals, and people who are interested in stopping their addiction to spit tobacco.  According to Niki Sue Miller, Wyoming "Through With Chew's" project founder and director, they designed the website to help address a growing problem.  She says that having a comprehensive website is a great way to easily share their work with others who are concerned about the dangers of spit tobacco.

ThroughWithChew.com has a number of downloadable materials and projects other states can use, as well as information for those who are interested in quitting their use of spit tobacco.
