Swanson Slow-Simmered Chicken Rice Soup

 

Ingredients

Preparation

1/2 cup uncooked wild rice
1/2 cup uncooked regular long-grain white rice
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 medium onion, chopped
2 stalks celery, coarsely chopped
1 lb boneless chicken breasts, cut up
2 tsp dried thyme leaves, crushed
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
3 cans (14 oz each) Swanson Chicken Broth or Natural Goodness Chicken Broth

1.  Mix wild rice, whit rice and oil in the crock-pot slow cooker.  Cover and cook on High 15 minutes.

2.  Stir in onion, celery, chicken, thyme, pepper and broth.  Cover and cook on Low for 7 to 8 hours or on High for 4 to 5 hours or until done.

3.  Serve with sour cream and green onions, if desired.
