but that night was the first night he had come back in months.
And the first time I’d been there in a few weeks. Well once I got to the church, I saw him and I know it might sound cliché but I felt like I’d known him for awhile... Before this, I was kind of having a bad day, and so I decided I would go that night. I’m glad I did because even though I didn't know I would meet him, it made my day better plus I made an amazing new best friend. We both sat there, kind of looking back at each other, and I used to be really shy, as well was he. So we didn't say one word to each other. A song came on and a girl we both knew started crying. I was going to see if she was ok, but he got to it first. He looked over and asked me if she was alright and I told him yes after checking, and that gave us the excuse to speak to each other, and communicate.
If it hadn't of happened, I’d have never talked to him, so I guess we met through God at the church. He gave me butterflies from looking at him, and especially when he would smile at me. I developed a big crush on him within a few hours. After he spoke to me, I knew that I wanted him to be in my life.
get better, and after that day, we talked every day, We would webcam and hang out as much as possible. We spent what was left of summer together and then adjusted to school starting, it was hard ...But we're still here. A few days ago was our 7 month anniversary. :) I’m doing this kind of as a surprise because he forgot. So if we win, I'll surprise him, Even if we don't.
I know I’m kind of young, But he'll always have the strongest connection with my heart. But it was all the feelings that counted that night. He didn't have to say a word to me to feel them. And that’s how I met one of my closest best friends, and my strongest love. If you really love someone, don't give up on them if they love you as well. You just might miss your chance.
Thanks for reading and considering.
After I finally got out of my horrible marriage, I decided to give EHarmony a try. After chatting with a few girls here and there, one girl stood out like a daisy in a weed patch, Amanda from Edmonton, Alberta,
Canada. She was tattooed and loved music, and had never been married and was searching for true love, as was I. I messaged her as soon as I could after going through the "getting to know you" stuff on EHarmony, and I waited patiently for her response. I checked other matches out in the meantime, but no one compared. I had a slight feeling she had found someone already, but I waited still. Then roughly two whole months later, I got the response I'd been waiting for, and low and behold, she was interested in me as well!
We started emailing each other on June 27, 2012 and then exchanged numbers so we
could text. We texted like crazy, over 3000 texts in a month. Both of us were shy, and kind of hesitated talking on the phone, but one day, I called her out of the blue and as soon as I heard her voice, I told her "I'm pretty sure I'm in love with you". She told me she felt the same way, and that we should
meet! So, we both planned a trip to Las Vegas, Nevada to meet for the first time, on August 6th. She flew down from Canada, and I flew from Rock Springs. I had booked a hotel suite, and we had planned a bunch of exciting things that we could do for a week in Vegas. Anyway I was so excited and when that day finally came, I was headed down the escalator in McCarran International
airport and laid eyes on my true love for the first time. She saw me, dropped her luggage and ran to meet me. We embraced, and kissed, and then looked into each other’s eyes and said nothing. Both of us had the biggest smiles ever, and we both knew that everything we imagined was true! Later when I asked her what she thought when she first saw me on that escalator, she said I thought "there's the man I'm going to marry" and I told her I was thinking the same thing, that there is the girl I'm going to marry.
That week we decided on a wedding date, and now she is going to move to the states to be with me as soon as humanly possible. I proposed to Amanda on Venice beach California, on
a family trip she joined us on. Now we are happily engaged, and are going to
be married on October 31st, 2013. The long distance between us is hard
sometimes, but we are so happy it is worth any wait we have to endure! We are
each others one true love, she is my princess and I am her prince!

I know this may not be the story anyone was looking for but it means the
world to me! It was February 2005 I was working as a cashier at a local store here in rock
springs, Wyoming. My father and stepmother both were over seas at this time and it was just me
and my two boys which at this time were 12 & 14 yrs old. I had gotten a phone call from my mother to which I was informed my great niece was born a month and a half early. I met her when she was a month old and she ended up desperately ill shortly after that! She was not suppose to make it according to the doctors but god had plans for her! I found out his plan six months later on Aug 15, 2005 I made a trip to Laramie Wyoming with my oldest son. The first time I seen her I knew that my decision to take her home was going to be the best decision I ever made! I adopted her about one year later! She will be eight in February. If I am down she consoles me! She is the sweetest
little girl. She is kind and considerate to everyone! I couldn't ask for a better sweetheart than her!!!
Rachel May:
I met my husband way back in 1999. Bryan was the little brother of one of my best friends in high school. We have known each other in that way for years. Then, in 2009, he needed a haircut (I'm a cosmetologist). His sister text me and I told her of course I would cut his hair. He came by
and we visited a long while, like old friends do. I was married at the time, and we were not in a good place at all. Bryan gave me a friend to talk to. When my (now ex) husband and I called it quits, Bryan gave me a spare room for me and my daughter to share. We moved in, and as the weeks turned into
months I realized he was my best friend, (and super cute too)! One thing led to another, and he got me through one of the hardest times of my life. We were married in May of 2010. He is the best husband anyone could ask for, an amazing step dad to my Daugherty, and a wonderful daddy to the daughter we have together. I could not ask for a better man. My best friend, my other half. I never in a million years would have thought my friends bratty, pain in the butt little brother would grow up and be the best thing that ever happened to me... But things work out the way they are supposed to, and I'm
so thankful that they do! I love my man, my rock, my friends little brother!
Janet Maez:
I met my husband in 1972. I was a waitress at a Wyoming Cafe. This was a very rough restaurant for a 17 year old girl to be working at, but I needed the money. My husband used to spend a lot of his time at the Ponderosa Bar, which was in the adjoining building, where I worked.
It was summer and I lived in a one room apartment above the Old Independent Store. Every day I would walk to work across the viaduct that goes over the Railroad in Green River, Wyoming. On this fate filled day, my husband and his dear friend came in to eat. Both being inebriated and obnoxious put me in a very cautious mood. I went about my job and tried to ignore the noise they were making. Finally growing upset with the twosome for disturbing the other patrons, I went up and asked them nicely to be quiet or leave the establishment. Well, the left, WITHOUT PAYING FOR THEIR MEAL!
I explained what had happened to my boss and she knew who it was right away. Apparently he made a habit of this and would always come in and pay for the meal the next day.
As fate would have it happen, LeRoy showed up to pay for the meal at the end of my shift. Fate worked again when my relief waitress didn't show up. Since she didn't have a phone, my boss asked me to run to her house and see if she would be in. I didn't have a car and LeRoy volunteered to take me. When
LeRoy was sober, my impression of him changed. I don't even remember if the waitress came in. I was immediately smitten with him. He had a 1967 candy apple red Chevy Super Sport that was almost as hot looking as he was. After we spent some time together we found that we had a mutual attraction towards each other.
My husband started to feed me something that I had NEVER had before, Tortillas and HOT chili peppers! After tasting his cooking, I decided that I wanted to become his personal waitress FOREVER!
We have now been together for almost 41 years! And I am still as smitten with him as I was back in 1972!
I came here on a mini vacation from Oregon to see my nephew who at the time was only a couple of months old. I wanted to see him before he got too big and thankfully I did :) My life changed for the better. My youngest niece had a birthday shortly after I was here and her dad was at work so we had to return to her house later that day. When we got there my sister in law was telling me about my brother car pooling and he showed up a few minutes after we started talking and my nieces decided to get their dad with silly string so we all went outside to watch. When he pulled up I noticed that the driver had coal all over his face and the girls ran over and got him with the silly string as well as their dad. I thought it was the funniest sight ever!!
I wasn't too sure about the driver because he dropped my brother off and left (now I know he thought it was funny). The next day my sister in law was telling me that my brothers friend wouldn't stop texting
him and asking questions about me and I do admit that I found it flattering :)
He asked my brother if he could meet me in person and surprisingly he said yes! So a couple of days later, I went to their house and met the friend. He was shy, which is opposite of me but we did talk and we found out that we had a lot in common and a lot of the same interest's. I remember thinking he has the prettiest blue eyes! We exchanged numbers that day and continued to talk.
He took me out and showed me the city of Green River and from the top of the mountain it was beautiful! My vacation was coming to a near end and so I decided to go apply for college in Utah and while I was there he would talk to me and ask me to go to school here instead so he could see me :) So the story goes I went out on a limb and took a chance on a friendship and now I am HAPPILY married and have been blessed with 2 WONDERFUL step kids!!
Courtney Staples:
My best friend, Erin, was a swimming instructor at the Civic Center. She had become really close with one family that had their kids enrolled in her class and they were always inviting her over for dinner and games and stuff like that. She always invited me to come along because they were such a fun
family to be around, but I always declined because I didn't want to intrude on this family I had never met. These dinners were also the father's attempt to set Erin up with a guy he worked with, because he thought they would get along great. Unfortunately, and those who work in the oilfield will
understand, jobs always came up and the co-worker was never able to come to the dinners.
One day I finally agreed to go a barbeque there because Erin was having a really bad day and I felt like I couldn't tell her no. She was so excited. It also turned out that the co-worker, AJ, was finally able to attend this dinner also. By the end of the night Erin knew that there could never be anything between her and AJ. I was embarrassed about how rude she was being towards him, so to make up for it he and I ended up talking most of the night. The next day Erin called me and told me that the father was asking for my number to give to AJ because he thought I was amazing and really wanted to
see me more. She told him she wasn't giving out my number without my permission so she would ask.
I had just gotten out of a long relationship and really wasn't looking to be in another. I had a two year old and had just begun to continue my college education; I figured I had enough on my plate without a relationship. Every day Erin asked if she could give him my number because they kept asking her. Finally, I said yes just because I was tired of hearing about it and figured I could just tell him I wasn't
interested. Well he text me that very night and we ended up talking all night again. We agreed on an innocent get together of Star Wars and egg salad sandwiches for lunch in a couple days. Due, once again, to jobs coming up at work it ended up being a dinner and Star Wars get together, which
seemed slightly less innocent to me.
We had a great time watching Return of the Jedi and I discovered he was a great cook. The rest, as they say, is history. AJ and I have now been married for almost two years and are expected a baby in July. And an extra bonus, he and Erin were able to work out their differences (or the intense similarities, such as being argumentative and stubborn, that prohibited them from getting along in the
first place). The chances of him finally attending the same dinner I finally agreed to attend and the twist of events that changed all of our innocent events into straight forward dates seemed to tell us that we were meant to be, and it has certainly proven that way.
Katherine Baker:
He was a sophomore and I was a freshman when we met 34 years ago at Green River High School. We weren’t sweethearts yet, but friends. Michael was funny and talented on a level that I thought put him out of my league. Yet we had a blast cracking jokes in band, in Algebra, at swim meets, at lunch… He gave me some local fame by making me laugh so hard at lunch I blew milk through my nose all over the lunchroom table… My best friend and I would see him driving around listening to loud music with his buddies after school, dragging Main in his yellow 1972 Chevy station wagon with all the windows down in sub-zero temperatures. Classy! But I was a very tall girl, and he wasn’t a tall guy…yet. You know how that matters in high school.
Then I was a junior and he was a senior. I suddenly became aware that he had… changed. Over the summer he’d worked construction jobs and had come back to school a tall filled-out bona fide hunk. Wow! I started secretly staring at him in math and annual staff. Gone was the casual goofing around friendship we’d had. I felt awkward and shy, never dreaming he might be having the same feelings for me. He was a popular clown and a ham—dressing outrageously at pep rallies and school skits, and joking and carrying on with teachers as their equal in classes. Then one day, I felt eyes on me in the hall and turned to find him staring at me. We both blushed and quickly looked away, but I wondered… Neither of us acted on it. I thought his best friend’s sister was his girlfriend, and he knew about my parade of boyfriends.
Toward the end of that year, I was alone in the high school darkroom working to meet a yearbook deadline after school when I heard a knock at the door. “Just a minute!” I called and put the photos I was developing into the stop bath. When I opened the door to see him standing there, we both turned bright red. He mumbled something about a project and we set back to work in the suddenly electric atmosphere. Neither one of us said a word, but I thought I could hear his heart pounding over mine. I thought he would ask me out, but he didn’t, so, confused, I continued with my messy dramatic teenaged life. At the end of the year he graduated and I moved with my family to California, not to see each other again for 30 years.
I heard little things through the grapevine about him over the years, and knew he’d married in Wyoming and they’d had a child. I’d married as well and had two sons before our marriage dissolved in a pile of painful dysfunction. Thirteen years after our divorce I had found peace and happiness as a single hard-working mom of two awesome sons. I was so happy in fact, I literally ran if a man so much as looked at me in an interested way. One day, tired from a long journey to visit my parents, I decided to “veg” on facebook for a while. Lo, there was a friend request. I looked to see who it was from, and my heart nearly jumped out of my chest when I saw Michael’s name. I fumbled to hit “accept friend request” and went immediately to his page. Yes! He was by some miracle single!! I couldn’t believe it.
My exact thoughts at the time were, “Oh, it is so ON! There is no way I am passing by another opportunity to see what is between us.” I carefully worded a private message to him. Not too flirty in case he was already involved with someone else, and just flirty enough in case he wasn’t. And then waited. Two weeks later I had given up, when his reply came back—carefully flirty to match my tone. The rest is history. We were up late many nights giggling over facebook messages, then texts, then finally talking on the telephone. I learned that he, also had had time to heal and learn to like being single—having been divorced for eight years by then. Every time we would move to “the next level” I felt solidly sure he was the guy for me, but that feeling alternated with the abject fear of getting involved with someone again when I’d found such happiness on my own, and the fears and hopes of what our relationship might do to or for our children.
I waded through neck-deep fears to accept his marriage proposal(s) (there were several), and we married two years after finding each other again. When we tied the knot at last, we really tied it tight by getting married twice in two days. Because it was so important to us to be married in our home communities and churches by our own religious leaders, we married in two different churches (Catholic and Unitarian Universalist), in two different states (Wyoming and Utah), in two different years (New Year’s Eve 2011 and New Year’s Day 2012).
Thank goodness I had the guts to do it! Sometimes, you just have to shed your fears and plunge into happiness. Such love, friendship and fun I have never known before. If I had known during our wedding(s) how happy I would be to be married to Michael, I probably would not have been able to handle the excitement and would have passed out or something. What a kind special man I have married, and I can only hope I make him as happy as he constantly makes me.
Emily Hunsaker:
My husband Branch and I met at 13 years old at a Halloween Dance. I had just received the award for "Prettiest Costume" and this cute scarecrow asked me to dance. He was the first boy to ever ask me to dance. I was a total fool and kept bringing up the fact that he was dancing with the prettiest girl at the dance. I seriously think I told him 15 times in a 3 minute song!!
Many years later I wrote him a lot on his mission for our church. About a year into his 2 year mission I received a letter asking me on a date for the day after he got off his mission, which would be Valentines Day 2003. Well...he got sick and we had to go the next night but we have been together ever since! 9 years of marriage and 2 kids and still going strong!
Montanaela Loftiss:
I believe in fate after I met my husband. It was October of 2003 and I was supposed to go on a girl’s weekend with a bunch of the ladies I worked with. Well after one of the ladies check was shorted and payroll couldn't fix it till Monday we decided to postpone it. So I called my brother. I always took him to a haunted house for his birthday in October. We headed down to Salt Lake City. As we were driving, he was telling me he wanted to go to a different haunted house than we usually went to. He had heard all about Rocky Point and how it was truly haunted. So we headed there. We pulled in right behind a white car and parked next to them, and went to wait in the long line.
Jared: I was just hanging out at home when my best friend and his wife came over and invited me to go to a haunted house with them. When we got there, there was a party of little boys in line just a couple people behind us. They kept egging on the actors that walk the crowd and when the actors would scare them, the boys would push the people behind us into us. Finally my friend’s wife Jeanna turned to the lady behind us and asked if the kids were with them.
Montanaela: I told her no and that I was trying to figure out how to get ahead of them when we got in so I wouldn't have to hear them scream. I noticed that they guy with them was kinda cute. But I am shy.
Jared: She is shy till she gets to know you but after being in the line for almost 3 hours she started flirting. After my friend had mentioned I had cancer when I was younger, she turned to me and said "If you survived cancer you can survive this" and pointed to herself.
Montanaela: I felt like I had known you all my life. When we got in there he held my hand in the scary parts.
Jared: I purposely got us lost from the others in the Scream maze part so I could kiss her.
Montanaela: I was a little surprised. After the haunted house we exchanged numbers and left. We talked again a week later and then we were inseparable. Whenever he had days off he would come up to my house and I knew he was a keeper when I had to work and he made me dinner from scratch.
Jared: I proposed about 2 weeks later. And we were married the following June. She is the best thing that has ever happened to me.
Montanaela: I don't know where I would be if I hadn't of gone to a haunted house with my brother. Jared is the love of my life and I wouldn't trade him for all the riches in the world.
Heather Nelson:
My boyfriend Jim and I met on Match.com, we chatted via Match and text for about a month and a half before we even met. It was my fault mostly because I had just gotten out of 4 1/2 year relationship 3 months prior and had some bad experiences with men and was entertaining the idea of meeting someone new but was more afraid of him then anything. I always thought of finding someone online as a last resort, and as taboo.
One day, sitting on the couch and feeling sorry for myself that I ended up a single mom again and that my ex took pretty much everything I had, even the computer I decided to try match.com. I had to fill out the information for my credit card on my smart phone in hard to see letters and it took me over and hour before my $40.00 start-up fee actually worked, and the rest is history.
.
We chatted back and forth for a month and I dodged his invite to go to the winter parade downtown and even stopped talking to him for about a week after that . The night of December 7th I was getting ready to go to my choir's Christmas party and felt all dressed up, and some idea came out of left field that I should ask him to go on a date. So I texted him out of the blue on a Friday night that I wanted to meet him at the Bonsai Restaurant for Sushi , he was way surprised and obliged . He ended up getting there 15 minutes before me and sat down at a table, I didn't know what he was driving or really what he really looked like in person so I walked through the door. There was this young blue eyed golden haired man sitting at the first table, I couldn't believe my eyes.
I actually turned around and walked back out of the restaurant, stood on the sidewalk for a few minutes to catch my breath and went back in . Walked up to his table and ask him if was he that was there for a blind date, he said yes ! I then sat down mesmerized and didn't even realize he had a bouquet of roses for me on the table until we were 10 minutes into the conversation!
So we ate and he spent me the whole time educating me on Sushi and I pretty much just sat there and said nothing. Afterwards he invited me to Johnny Macs for a drink and we visited and found out some interesting facts about each other that can be only explained as impossible, (so I thought) . We found out we both had relatives in Broadview, Montana which is a town of about 400 people if that, and it's over 7 hours away from here!! His cousin Lacey went to High school with my cousin Tori in Lavina, Montana another very small town! I also found out a fact that I was getting ready to tell him at the very same time!! He told me he was an ancestor of Abraham Lincoln and I was just about to tell him that Lincoln's wife Mary Todd was a distant
ancestor! That I think sealed our destiny!!
We have been together for over a year and have discovered other odd things in common, for example we went to Las Vegas and were in a gift shop that sold bumper stickers. We kept picking up bumper stickers from opposite sides of the store to show the person on the other side of the store and they were always the same ones!! We had a laugh about that!! That night we both got picked to participate in a hypnotist show even though we didn't sit together in the audience! We spend every day finishing each other's thoughts and reading each other's minds!
Recently we were going through sets of dishes we both had and we both had one single yellow rose plate that our grandmother's gave us. So now there is a set of two, just like us!!
Jim and I have been through a lot of hardships this past year, but we have sustained an undeniable bond that can't be broken as it seems we are "soul mates" destined to be in each other's arms!!
We are pending the arrival of a baby girl on April 6th and a bright future together!!
LOVE JIM HAWKINS AND HEATHER NELSON ANNIVERSARY DECEMBER 7TH, 2011.
Melissa Skiles:
My story is a Field of Dreams. My husband and I met in Evanston Wyoming at the Softball Complex. I was playing for a Women's team and he was playing for a Men's team. I was going to pitch the next game for my team, but I needed someone to warm me up. He heard all of us talking about it and sure enough he said "hey I will warm you up". He and his buddies watched my game and then of course I watched his game. We talked for the rest of the day.
I was walking out of the complex to go to lunch with my friends and he yelled "hey does fries come with that shake". That was the words that has lasted 16 years. He asked me out when we both got back to Rock Springs, and we have not been apart since. We have made it through hard times for anyone who does not know, We lost our 11 year old son almost five years ago. It put a lot of heartache on the both of us, but we held each other and have remained strong. Our love today remains as beautiful as it was that day at the ball field!
Trish Browning:
I was sent to Rock Springs from Salt Lake to help out my company. I was staying at the Hampton Inn. I have two Bichons and was told about a dog park nearby. It would be perfect as I was still recovering from a motorcycle accident and couldn't walk for a very long time.

Zhang Jiangzhou, a judge with Beijing Haidian District People's Court, echoed Wang's comments, saying many women refused to legally protect themselves and it is difficult for them to win a sexual harassment lawsuit, let alone blame the louis vuitton shop employers. Since 2005, about 10 women have sued alleged sexual assaulters or employers in court, but only one won her case, according to Zhang. Local media said the meeting is likely to take place later this month or in early April before summit talks between President Park Geun-hye and her American counterpart Barack Obama in May. "The principles and general articles in the regulation should be written in detail, or else there will still be problems during the enforcement," the judge said. Zhang said the responsibility of employers and how they should be punished if they fail in these responsibilities are still undefined. What constitutes sexual assault and how to categorize sexual assault into varying levels of seriousness is also vague, he said.

Anne McKeown
We were at at our high school graduation party. I was with my girlfriends and Frank was with his buddy's. The girls and I were at the top of the staircase talking. I was saying that I had always wanted to slide down the banister. Frank was at the bottom and heard the conversation. He called up. "I will catch you" None of the other girls wanted to slide down the banister so I asked who is going to catch me?
Francis McKeown said that he would. So I jumped on the banister and slid down. 60 years later we are still married. Thankfully Frank had the support of his buddy's and was able to catch me. With out that support we both might have ended up in the hospital that night instead of going on our first date. If you ask Frank he will tell you that he always wanted to catch me and after 60 years he is still hanging on.

He was a sophomore and I was a freshman when we met 34 years ago at Green River High School. We weren't sweethearts yet, but friends. Classy! But I was a very tall girl, and he wasn't a tall guy…yet. You know how that matters in high school.
Then I was a junior and he was a senior. I suddenly became aware that he had… changed. Over the summer he’d worked construction jobs and had come back to school a tall filled-out bona-fide hunk.
I thought he would ask me out, but he didn't, so, confused, I continued with my messy dramatic teen-aged life.
I couldn't believe it. My exact thoughts at the time were, “Oh, it is so ON! There is no way I am passing by another opportunity to see what is between us.” I carefully worded a private message to him. Not too flirty in case he was already involved with someone else, and just flirty enough in case he wasn't. And then waited. Two weeks later I had given up, when his reply came back—- carefully flirty to match my tone.
