Police Chief and Superintendent Respond to Potential Solstice Threats at Schools

Many of you may have heard rumors spreading around Sweetwater county about potentially catastrophic events similar to the Newtown Connecticut shooing in schools on Friday the 21st . School District #2 Superintendent Donna Little Kaumo sat down with me to explain.

The full special report, including interview with Police Chief Steffan and Superintendent Little-Kaumo can be heard below.

Summary:

The rumors ranging from school shootings to mass planned suicides first popped up in Sweetwater county on Tuesday, however they appear to be a nation wide phenomenon.  The school district will be working closely with the green river police department, and will have both uniform and street dressed police officers at all schools within the district.  Steffan encouraged individuals who may know a troubled individual displaying signs of acting out to contact the police department, and Kaumo invited parents to call the district at 872-0555 for more information on the precautions being taken.
